Changes to The Hall Foundation's Direct Giving Program

At The Hall Foundation, we remain committed to providing practical, timely support that upholds dignity and strengthens stability and wellbeing for people experiencing financial pressure. As community needs continue to evolve, we are refining the scope of the Direct Giving Program to ensure our support remains focused, impactful and sustainable.

Over recent months, we have seen a rise in requests for assistance across our partner network. In response, the program will now concentrate on four priority areas where small grants create the most immediate and meaningful change.

OUR NEW FOCUS AREAS

These areas reflect our commitment to strengthening safety, independence and access for people facing acute financial stress. The Direct Giving Program will now prioritise support for:

  1. Essential daily-living

  2. Accessibility supports

  3. Critical minor health-related needs

  4. Education-related equipment

What this means for applying partners

To maintain clarity and consistency, the program will no longer fund requests outside these four categories, including removalist costs, storage fees, forensic cleans and vehicle-related expenses.

We recognise the important work our partners do every day, and these refinements are designed to ensure we can continue providing meaningful assistance where it has the greatest impact.

The updated Direct Giving Program Guidelines are now available on our website. We encourage all partners to review the new criteria before submitting applications.

Thank you for your ongoing partnership and for the care you bring to the people and communities you support.
